HS Internship Program

High School Internship Program

Summer CampThe Kopernik Observatory & Science Center is looking for interns. Becoming an intern is an important way to gain valuable work experience and help the Kopernik Observatory at the same time.

As a volunteer intern, we have a variety of opportunities that students can take advantage of. We need interns to help with our Friday night programs as well as assist our teachers during weekend classes and summer camps.

As a Kopernik intern, you will have an opportunity to gain valuable work experience, get trained on the setup and use of a number of telescopes, help Kopernik educators during camps and classes, and interact with the general public. Being a Kopernik intern will be a notable entry on your college application as you pursue higher education. Your volunteer hours at Kopernik will count towards any community service requirement for graduation.

We are only able to accept intern applications from students in the Southern Tier of NY and Northeast PA who can get to Kopernik by themselves or by having someone drive them.
